Default 48p 9t & 32p 6t

I am excited to say that we already got the material, I picked them up yesterday. We will start machining them next week.

We plan to ship the following late August:

48P 9T
48P 10T
32P 6T

there will be some challenges in terms how to make them to fit the 540 motor. I will keep everybody posted as soon as we have a prototype picture.

Yes, 6T 32P for clod. I am not 100% sure we can make it happen, but we will see in 1-2 weeks.

I have a meeting this Saturday with one of the project manager to go over the design.

Not yet, the 32P should be here late next week. 48P probably still 1-2 weeks away.

well, after a few battery packs through my fj45, the pinion gear is holding up well. no issues other than getting it to sit square on the shaft. definately helps when running bruiser axles on your crawler! much better gearing choices.

chino63, cool. I might need you to test it again when we release the final prototype:

Click the image to open in full size.

We expect to start shipping the 32 Pitch hardened steel pinion gears within 1-2 weeks. Initially we will have 6, 7, 8 and 9 tooth available.

In terms of 48 Pitch gears, there is some delay, I expect to have it towards the end of the month.

that design looks better but how much material is actually left (9t)? this is the problem when making small pinions. the 10t 48p gear will be fine like that with a pilot hole all the way through when made of steel but the 9t 48p might be questionable. the 9t might eventually crack between the teeth and start sheering teeth. if the pilot hole goes all the way through, the motor shaft won't need to be shortened and no motor spacer required. keep it coming! these gears will be sweet once the bugs are worked out!

edit: do you want the other gears back?

chino63, no keep those as souvenir.

That design was actually for 32P (long version), in terms 48P, our gears will have the same height as those from robison racing or similar companies.

clodstall, we are almost done, we expect to ship as early as Friday or Monday. 32P, 6, 7, 8. They are going through heat treatment, just waiting to get them back.

48P, again, there is some delay, our goal is late this month.

I have a 6T 32P pinion but they keep coming apart on me due to the size of the hole for the pinion shaft. Hope your heat treatment does the trick, keep us posted.
thanks

Final prototype (48P) is here already, I will post pics tomorrow and ship it out for final testing. Once everything works, we will be able to get enough made for everybody within 1-2 weeks.
