I would take the meaning of 'cab' as being the 'A pillar' to back of doors ... basically interior area.

Technically theres nothing saying 'must have roof' so the bodies open to the grey area interpretation and legal I would think.

If anything Id say the body makes roll overs and tight roof areas a bit trickier with hang ups. Maybe a re-word saying a windshield is required and measure 1.00'' tall measured from the body line of the body/hood.

That would prevent the bodies from coming out with no windshield and roof and working the grey area.

SECTION 6: Glossary of Terms state "integrating Roof"

SECTION 6: Glossary of Terms

Body: Formed as a single piece of seamless rigid material, integrating Roof, Door (sides), and Hood sections.
Doesn't the glossary of terms define the definition of language in WRCCA rules?

If so a body must have an integrating Roof.

the roadster might meet the 8x3x3 however it doesn't have a integrating Roof therefore it's illegal according to WRCCA Glossary of terms.
Just my 2cents.
