here is the basic XR10 set up for links and ballends XR10 is running: 73mm upper front link (long bent ballends at chassis / long straight ballends axle) 94mm upper rear link (short bent ballends) high clearance bottom links front bottom links (AX80005 tree 6 front bent ballend / short bent ballends at chassis) rear bottom links (all long bent ballends) we trimed ballends and links to get the ballends to rotate tightly into the correct positions rear shock arm is 5 degrees up from level ground and shock is in the 1st hole (closest to chassis) front shock arm is 50 degrees up from level ground and the shock is in the 3rd hole (away from chassis) upper links mount to 3rd hole from bottom on chassis |

I ordered my chassis the other day! I'd like to see some videos of these crawlers doing some work, and more pics/info on the builds. Finished set up pics would be great too!

Took my finished progress out today for its first real run and all I can say is this is easily the best chassis I've run yet.....it was a real bitch to build and get right with my berg axles but it was all worth it. Ultra light and predictable as hell, I even cut down on wheel weights....it just works for me..one day i'll figure out how to post pics and I will put them on here....thanks RCP

Price?Looks like you won't be needing the Axial XR10 shock mounting parts.I kinda like running a body again on my berg progress chassis.

here's is my berg: Progress Berg I run the standard Axial hi clearance links I have shorten the front links to make it cab forward and added Jato ballends to extend the rear links.(I drilled and tapped for 4mm) the upper links can be straight links with just a small bend 10-15 degrees you want to avoid any links touching at full articulation and at full compression....it's a tight tolerance...but once you got it your set. I'm making a few changes to the bodyless topper...will be out soon! Thanks Dave |
