looks great, any chance when you do decide to make the harden steel ring and pinion gear you could posibly make the pinion gear to have a hole in the pinion shaft so you could run an allen screw all th way threw the pinion shaft, so the yoke will not beable to slip on the pinion shaft. just like "the wheely king pinion gear" |

Eeepee, What about me? jk RCP, Can you PM me or post when prices are up? Thanks... smuggler! chivas72, I know I was thinking the same thing, who wants CVDs and not indestructible ring and pinion or vise-versa? lol! I will be ordering for two TLTs when they come out (dont count on me ordering soon as they hit the shelf [might not have enough for 2 at the time being jobless!]) Last edited by TLTCrawlin; 01-22-2007 at 05:13 PM. |

Oh yeah... now we're talking. I'm sick of locking my axle out.

I know this is a STUPID question but, Are the spools hollow? Im guessing so. |

hollow where the shafts go through, otherwise i would suspect solid, especially if they are machined, would just be extra machine time not really necessary. if they are cast they may be hollow but im not sure if you can cast stainless

EDIT: I would go for a spool/ring gear that is machined down for less weight but without sacrificing strength. Seems it would be better to keep drivetrain weight down and add weight inside the axle housings, tires, etc. | |

The spool has been quoted in stainless so they will last longer and will not rust. The other reason we choose stainless is BECAUSE of the weight. What better place to have weight than the lowest central point in the axle. |
