Default R.E.C.O.N. G6 Challenge "The Gooey Duck 300" at Long Beach, WA

The G-Train is loaded and headed to the great Pacific Northwest. With the help of the North West Scale R/C, a new r/c scale club that is not new to scale r/c. N.W.S.R.C. is some of the best guys you could ever r/c with and RECON is proud to be bringing the G6 Challenge to the Pac Nor-West at their request.

The RECON G6 Challenge, “The Gooey Duck 300” will take place on 5-14/15-11 at Long Beach, WA and take place after the ORCRC Axial West Coast Qualifier, brought to you by none other than two PNW legends, Ryan Gerrish and John Ripplinger.

The G6 Gooey Duck 300 will be two 100 trail marker stages, aka Main Stage and two 50 trail marker stages, aka Sub Stage. Saturday night drivers will face a Main Stage and a Sub Stage and Sunday morning the last two stages will be ran.

Saturday:
-Tech starts at 1900hrs / scalers impounded
-Drivers Meeting @ 1930hrs
-Stage start after National Anthem
-Impound lifted after stage 1 and 2 are completed by driver.

-Sunday:
-Tech starts at 0700hrs / scalers impounded
-Drivers Meeting @ 0730hrs
-Stages start after National Anthem.
-G Awards Ceremony.

G6 Requirements:

-1.9 G-rides.
-2.2 G-rides, (5 make a class)
-Spare tire not required, but highly recommended.
-Tow strap mandatory and will be used.
-Winch not required, but helpful.
-Sand ramps may be used, but must be mounted to the scaler and replaced after each use.
-Lights will be needed for night stages. Unlimited lights on the scaler, must be scale in appearance. One head lamp per driver stage buddy and one light source on a drivers radio. No light filters on driver or radio lights needed.
-Standard G-Fee applies and 50% of proceeds will go to N.W.S.R.C.
-Minimum of 5 scale items.

G-Drivers can expect several mandatory skill sections and a time bonus thrown in for good measure. No overtaking a driver in a skill / time section and there will be a skill section where no driver / stage buddy / radio lights will be permitted.

I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The G6 Gooey Duck 300 will make a great shake down run for those scale drivers heading to the Axial Racing MSD Scale Nationals next weekend.

If you love driving your scaler and testing your skills, then we will see you this weekend at the G6 Challenge, the Gooey Duck 300.

Rocky, I need to borrow a rig.....I will even rock a 1.9 in the 2.2 class just for the heck of it.

Help a brother out, none of my rigs are set up to run this type of long distance event..big power, no radiator and no time to put another together is not going to work for me.

Dont leave me hangin,,,unless yur skeered

I will be so gracious as to beat you with your own bus( which I built ) if you allow me to

If your not SCUUURRED, you are more than welcome to drive for Team TWERK. Lil' Lexus has just recieved some spa love and is as ghetto fabulous as ever.

Just say the word, she even has a working winch and is a proven G6 "Winner".

I would really like to see the 2.2 event have enough competitors, so I am more than willing to run a small "David" style rigs against all the "golieths"

I AINT SKUUUUURD

I'm in for 1.9" with my SCX10! I probably wont be able to run Sunday though, I'll have to run Supers + 1.9 real quick and then leave to get to work by Noon!

I'm guessing we can only run 1 class, right?
