Its all car friendly up to the end of the campsites of Upper Blue Lake and the trail head of Deer Valley below Lower Blue Lake dam.

Here's what I'm driving

I agree.

Location is prime. Camping is going to be incredible. G6'ers are in for a great time and for those that seek adventure, you will find it at the L.O.S.T. G6, and then some.

I went up w/ the family, swam, paddled the canoe around Twin Lake and drove up to Upper Blue Lake. The road into The Blue Lakes Recreation Area is paved to perfection and dead ends into Lower Blue Lakes Campground. This is a beautiful drive and the scenic views are far beyond my limited vocabulary to describe.

I will be bringing the canoe again and for those G6'ers that like to throw a line in the water, there were several fisherman at Lower Blue Lake. Just make sure you have your CA fishing permit.

Camping is first come, first serve, but I do not foresee any issues this time of year. Especially since Labor Day weekend will have come and gone.

Camping fee is minimal, 8 people per site, so the possibilities are there to save some cheddar by sharing campsites and several of the camp sites are next to each other, so the G-Spot will be a group spot!

Now all I need to do you is not dream of this location for the next 3 weeks....YEAH RIGHT! I've been dreaming about it since Dork Vader posted pics!

Come get your scaler fix, in a RECON G6!

Sounds like it's going to be a great spot. What was the fee? You said minimal; is that $5 or $20/per night? I need to make sure I bring the correct amount of cash.

wasn't happy with the junk pair i bought so i came up with these over the weekend. i thought about modifying barbie shoes for bindings but couldn't see $9 for a whole outfit, lol.

now to figure out straps and some paint, they should take care of this recommendation.

ATTENTION G6'ers:

RECON G6 Challenge™ Web Wheeling Skills Challenge

Attention all G6’ers, while those batteries are on the charger, we are going to do a little web wheeling. This skills test is not mandatory, but highly recommended. At the Joker’s Wild G6, Drivers that completed the online challenge were rewarded with a time bonus. This time bonus helped those G6’ers and this web wheeling skills test will be a littler tougher, but for the G6’er who is willing to take on this adventure, the reward will be greater than the risk.

Warm up those fingers and let’s get started. Post up your questions and write "completed" to those tasks that require additional work.

1. How many Axial Shields are in the RECON G6 Challenge™ L.O.S.T., Legend of Snowshoe Thompson flier?

2. After reading the Wikipedia background on Snowshoe Thompson; what do I share with Snowshoe Thompson? You will have to show me the answer to receive a bonus at drivers meeting.

3. What was the winning poker hand in the Joker’s Wild G6? (Here’s an Ace up your sleeve…R.E.C.O.N. G6 Challenge "Joker's Wild" @ Cisco Grove, CA).

4. Snowshoe Thompson delivered the U.S. Mail, deliver a picture of one Vanquish Products item to me on the RECON G6 Challenge™ L.O.S.T. thread or what I call the mail car on the G-Train. Here is the address, http://www.reconcrawlers.com/forum/showthread.php?5-Official-RECON-G6-Challenge-quot-L.O.S.T.-quot-Legend-of-Snowshoe-Thompson . Since I like getting new mail, no duplicate pictures.

5. How many RECON scopes are in the RECON G6 Challenge™ L.O.S.T., Legend of Snowshoe Thompson flier?

6. Brad “Bender” Dumont shares legendary status with Snowshoe Thompson, in Bender’s latest video, found here; http://axialracing.com/wordpress/2011/08/22/project-wroncho-video/ , when does the Wroncho successfully climb the sand embankment?

7. Snowshoe Thompson rescued pioneers while in the back country doing his job; would you stop during a RECON G6 Challenge to help out a stranded camper?

There you have it; the lucky 7 web wheeling skills challenge questions. Good luck and be prudent on your online adventure.

Remember, this is not mandatory, but highly recommended and only those drivers that complete the skills section will receive a drivers meeting bonus.

Come get your scaler fix in a RECON G6!

I'll lead a run in there another time if you or anybody else would be into it...

There is some bad a$$ terrain for rc crawling back there at the second water crossing / camp..

I've wanted to do a run / rc gtg there for a while now... even a small scale comp n camp would be cool.

Gotta do Slickrock too. That meadow at the north end of Deer Valley trail is one of the most peaceful camp spots.
Someone needs to put on a GTG up near Lake Alpine or Utica Res.
