So, I tried out that ACF-50. I douched my ESC, RX, and servo with that stuff. I thought it was supposed to water proof electronics, but when I dunked tested my ESC, it let out the blue smoke. Did I do something wrong?

Oh NOOO !!!!
I have a can and have been waiting to spray everything down, wondering if it works or not... They claim it does work if you pull everything out of its casing and spray the boards as well as all connection / soldered points ??

3M makes a 2 part epoxy called DP270 it's a potting compound made for waterproofing electronics, Mcmaster carr sells it, that's what i use

Everything was out of the cases. I sprayed the boards. I douched those things multiple times to the point that purple junk was dripping off. I let it sit for two days before reassembling. The ESC stopped working almost immediately when I dipped it in the glass of water, then a few seconds later it totally fried. Glad I used an old $15 Moped ESC.

Anyone know where I can buy some blue smoke to put back in my ESC. I heard if you put the blue smoke back in, the ESC will work again. haha

ACF-50 is an anti-corrosion for aircraft. It's like a WD-40 on massive steroids. It will help with keeping water off everything, but will not make it "waterproof".

It can be sprayed on everything. I removed all the cases and sprayed every circuit board, bearings, motor, contacts, solder joints, ect.

Will it help, watch this vid and decide for yourself...

There is another corrosion spray that actually repairs the corrision and has been known to bring some electronics back from the dead!

I plan on trying this product, as well.
