That’s right G6’ers; the G-Train is painted Casper White and we’re boarding for a haunting good time adventure. The G-Crew is stationed in one of the most haunted states in the Nation, the Gold Hill Inn, Redd Foxx home, the Goldfield Inn, and <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rob</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Canyon</st1:PlaceName>, just to name a few and on October 15<SUP>th</SUP>, we are going to raise the dead and bring on the ghosts by holding a G6 Challenge in haunted <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rock</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.

Horror legend has it that in 1910 the Southern Pacific Railroad was in full swing after building a switch station in Sparks, NV in 1904; known then as Harriman, NV after the president of the S.P.R. Well the railroad brought in all kinds of adventure seeking souls looking to make it big out West, but with the good, the rails also brought, the bad.
<o:p></o:p>
The baddest was a man named Jeremiah Earl Danziger, a descendant of <st1:country-region w:st="on">Poland</st1:country-region>, came to <st1:City w:st="on">Harriman</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">NV</st1:State> in 1910 and one of the bloodiest years that <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Sparks</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">NV</st1:State></st1:place> has ever seen. Jeremiah Earl Danziger, or Jed went to work for Aphia Mine in <st1:place w:st="on">Virginia City</st1:place> but was soon dismissed after he was caught stealing from the mine. This upset Jed and he what he did for the next 7 months, still horrifies and haunts people who walk the river path through <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rock</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.

Jed killed 16 young girls in 7 months that year. Butchered was used in most of the descriptions as each girl was found missing wrists and ankles. Their torsos marred with cuts and bruises from a carriage whip. When Jed was caught in the act with his last victim, he slashed your throat as she yelled for help for your unborn child, just as a group of men hunting chukkar, passed by. One of the hunters shot Jed, but the bullet had struck him in the lower back. Unable to walk, Jed was dragged to tree and hung after his hands and feet were cut off with the hatchet that Jed himself used on his female victims. This all happened where <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rock</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> is located today.

Most people just hear the cries of young girls as their bodies are bled out one extremity at a time, but only a few have seen Jeremiah Earl Danziger. They say they see a blood covered man carrying a hatchet. I have been to <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rock</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> after dark and have never seen or heard anything, but I can tell you that where the tree once stood is a bridge and walking under that bridge all the hairs on the back of my neck and arms stood straight out. Was it just a cool breeze coming of the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Truckee</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">River</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> or was it the ghost of Jed?

Tech: 1100hrs to Noon. All G-Rides will be impounded after they tech and any driver not passing tech will receive a time penalty.

“Haunted <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rock</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>” G6 requirements:
<o:p></o:p>
- 1.9 & 2.2 scale tires only. Must meet G6 guidelines for scale tires.
- A minimum of 5 scale items attached to vehicle.
- Mandatory tow strap. This item will be used during each stage.
- Winch is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- Sand ramps are not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- A spare tire is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- A scale item associated with Halloween is not mandatory, but highly recommended.<o:p></o:p>
- - A scale burlap or similar bag 3 to 4 inches in length and 2 inches wide is MANDATORY for the G6 Haunted Rock Canyon. This bag will be used on every stage and must be functional and attached to G-ride. <o:p></o:p>
- Halloween costumes are not mandatory, but highly recommended.<o:p></o:p>
- Lights are not mandatory, but HIGHLY recommended. One light per driver and stage buddy, one light on the radio, and as many lights that you can mount on your G-Ride.<o:p></o:p>

Stage Preview:
<o:p></o:p>
- The first Sub Stage will be 100 trail markers, but don’t be fooled; this will be a barn burner of rocky goodness.
- The second Sub Stage will be a two lap stage of 50 trail markers. The multi-lap stage is back and for those that have not experienced this G6 stage, you’re in for a true treat.
- The Main Stage will start at dusk and feature 100 trail markers through the fields of trees where Jed gruesomely murdered 16 young women; his last victim was 4 months pregnant. This stage is sure to raise the hair on the back of every G6’er willing to seek adventure in the RECON G6 Challenge™ “<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Haunted</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Rock</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>”.

I just radioed the "engineer" of the G-train and he said something about bikinis and bonfires in the near future!

Wow same as the cali championship and I was hoping the G crew was going to run in it and get a taste of comping and driving on are courses, beening a driver instead of a organizer:cry: im sad you all are not going to make it.

Hmmm, the G-Train is always loaded and who knows where the next stop may be, but I bet it will be at a location near you soon...;-)

Cheer up, little camper and turn the frown upside down...:), I had no idea. I Saw sococrawler @ Nats and he never mentioned it. I know he had said something about a comp w/ a shoot out format a while back, but I never knew it materialized.

The G-Train is chugging down the tracks with the G6 "Haunted Rock Park" and with comp nachos on the menu, quaduaple the drive time, and a 10.00 G-Fee, I'm gonna have to pass.

Remember, Jammin311, when you need your scaler fix, come and and get it in a RECON G6!


Ahhh, it's the Cow thing. Check. I have never really been into the shoot out style comps. I think in this economy you should try to give all your drivers the maximum drive time with the least line time, whether it's 7 or 70 drivers, if the comp doesn't draw drivers, no amount of sponsor swag ever will.

Good luck and I hope the King of Cali gets a big staff with the crown, that would be cool. "thumbsup"


Besides Rig Rocker, I don't know about any King of Cali, but what I do know is that a G6'er may see Jeremiah Earl Danziger's ghost at the RECON G6 Challenge "Haunted Rock Park", if they're are lucky..."BOO"!

Hey Parker, After talking with the fam last night we decided to ditch the shootout and make plans to come to Reno. I told my daughter and her best budd about Jeremiah Earl Danziger's story, and now they want to go ghost hunting and hang that sumofabich Jed up!
