The G-Train is has doubled up on security as we head towards gold country. G6’ers will be striking it rich and hitting the Mother Lode of fun at the next RECON G6 Challenge brought to you by Axial Racing, Vanquish Products, and Pit Bull Tires.

When – Saturday March 10, 2012
Where – Sacramento, CA area (exact location will be posted 72hrs prior to stage start)
What – The Coyote Hole G6

Preregistration starts at Noon.
Tech starts at 1230pm
Start time will be immediately following the National Anthem.

A Driver may run a 1.9 & a 2.2 class.

G-Fee – 20.00 / one class; 5.00 for second class.

The Coyote Hole G6 Requirements


-10 scale items are required.
- 3 mandatory gold rush scale items in addition to the 10 required. (i.e. scale metal detector, gold pan, mule)
- Tow strap is mandatory.
- Spare tire is mandatory and must be turned in at tech.
- Winch is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- Sand ramps are not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- Drivers Meeting Challenge is not mandatory, but highly recommended.


The Coyote Hole G6 Stage Preview


- One Main Stage consisting of 3 unique sections. The first section will consist of 100+/- trail markers before returning to G-Central. The 2nd section will consist of 50+/- trail markers before returning to G-Central and the 3^rd section will consist of the same. Each Class will have a Class Only section that may consist of a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 50 additional trail markers.

- G-Central will consist of several driving and driver challenges.


The California Gold Rush was a wild time for the West, the Coyote Hole G6 will have G6’ers staking claims in FUN and hopefully finding a nugget or two.

So I gots a question

I run on my truck 2.2 TSL's cut-n-shut down to 1.9. Now I know there is no more cut-n-shuts in g6 but would they be aloud if I ran in the 2.2 class.

IMO they look way better and more scale then the 1.9s or 2.2s.

Just a thought I had.

I don't even have my scaler at the moment so its not a big deal just wanted to know

So what if I run my SCX-10 in the "Adventurist" class, then put training wheels(2.2 tires) on it? Can I run it in the 2.2/Wraith class?

No, but any grooving or siping or lug removal is acceptable.

IMO they look way better and more scale then the 1.9s or 2.2s.

I agree and just like in 1:1's; some tires work better than others in any given situation, although in keeping with the scale spirit, I haven't seen a TSL SX 43x14.50-20 cut to fit a 15 inch wheel; just sayin'.

Just a thought I had.

Great thought and last year when the same concern was asked it was cool, but this year with such a vast array of scale tires to choose from, it comes down to a drivers choice for a great off the shelf scale tire to get them through a RECON G6 Stage.

No worries. I hope you get your scaler back soon and come out and represent that G6 Hardware that you took home at the Joker's Wild G6!
