RECON G6 CHALLENGE “THE HOMECOMING”

AT

DONNER SKI RANCH

WITH

CAL-NEVA X-TREME 1:1 ROCK CRAWLING

ON

July 7 & 8, 2012

RECON Crawlers is hosting a homecoming event at Donner Ski Ranch. This G6 is being chaperoned by Axial Racing, Vanquish Products, Novak, Pit Bull Tires, Pull Pal, Fast Eddy Bearings, Holmes Hobbies, PL Engineering, BPC, Kling On, Scott Anthony Designs, & every G6’er who has ever finished a RECON G6 Challenge stage.

The following events will be on the agenda;

-The Homecoming G6 Challenge – two stages of G6-ness or G-sickness. However you slice your pie, a homecoming is not a homecoming without a spiked punch bowl & the spike in “The Homecoming G6 Challenge” is a night stage through the infamous Donner train tunnels.

- Rock Riot – A full blown Rock Riot on the rocks that started rc crawling “Big Events”. Come out & enjoy some of the best monolithic granite this planet has to offer & comp crawl on r/c history.

-Cal-Neva X-treme r/c homebrew racing – Bring your short course trucks, there is a go fast crowd at Donner Ski Ranch. Cal-Neva X-treme will be cutting a track & we will be racing between the Homecoming G6 stage 1 & stage 2. We will be racing Wraiths, honchos, EXO’s, & any short course truck you bring. Oh yeah, it’s go phast time!


The Homecoming G6 Challenge Intel

- A winch is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- Sand ramps are not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- Homecoming attire is not mandatory, but highly recommended. ie, football jersey, cheerleader uniform, or crowns. (G6 footwear please)
- A corsage is mandatory for all G6’ers for Stage One.
- A permanent marker is mandatory for all G6’ers.
- A scale “homecoming” item is mandatory. The Official football team of the RECON G6 is the Pittsburgh Steelers. (other teams are ok, I guess) ie, footballs, crowns, turntables.
- A minimum of 7 scale items, this includes the mandatory.

Note: Not meeting any of the above directives could result in a time penalty.

- Start time, Stage 1, Saturday July 7<SUP>th</SUP>,10:00am; at G-Central, aka the Axial Tent.
- Start time, Stage 2, Saturday July 7<SUP>th</SUP>, 8:00pm; at the Donner Ski Ranch Lodge.

Classes:
- Ultra Driver – 1.9 Alpha G6’ers who sh!t-n-git from start to finish.
- Ultra Wraith – Wraith Drivers who do the same.
- Adventurist – 1.9 Drivers who walk, have challenges, find adventure items, & have a break out time; so don’t finish too fast.
- Wraith / 2.2 Class – the same as the Adventurists. Walk & enjoy the adventure. Time is really not an issue, unless you run out of it.
- Teams – Two drivers sharing a G-Ride & splitting the driving duties.

- G-Fee - $25.00; This includes a two day pass to watch all the Cal-Neva X-treme 1:1 action.

Stage 1 preview – 200 +/- Trail markers. There will be class specific sections that may range from 25 – 100 additional trail markers. The Stage will take drivers through the heart of the 1:1 action, through never before driven areas of Donner, & over some of the best aged granite; EVER!

Stage 2 preview – 200 +/- Trail markers. The stage will start in the Donner Ski Lodge & proceed to Tunnel 1’s entrance. Expect an experience that no other G6’er has ever experienced in the tunnels. Rock, mud, & the possibility of apparitions of workers who died during the construction of the tunnels; Stage two is a “DO NOT MISS” stage of a lifetime.


Sunday, July 8<SUP>th</SUP>, RECON Rock Riot.

- Start time will be 0900hrs on the seasoned granite of Donner Ski Ranch. Expect to see some historical gates from years past & of course, some new Parker lines, because really, who lives in the past, is only afraid of the future! The Rock Riot course will be open until 1200pm.

Come out and join us in a homecoming that’s been long over due. I want know two things;

The RECON Rock Riot is a revolution. Can you drive the revolution?

And

Are you ready for your scaler fix, in The Homecoming G6?
