you pull up to a trail marker and 3 or 4 drivers are struggling, drive around the trail marker and start pulling drivers out, the new drivers should see to start pulling the driver behind them out and you can go back and drive through the trail marker yourself with help if needed to get you through.

i've been doing this since G6 #2 when i got tired of waiting so i figured let's try to help and then get some help. tow ropes are faster than winching if you don't have to unwrap the tow rope from it's storage spot. i bungee (hair tie) my hook to the hood and it's very fast to get out. Parker has a story of the "Shaka Bra" freight train i wish i could have seen, thought he said 8 or 9 rigs all hooked together.

if you don't have a winch, hook up with someone who does. winchless Unibomber won the Malvado G6 by driving smart, using his PLE recovery ramps , and me winching him through the few sections he needed. i have a Recon Angel i want to try this with at the next local event if we can keep Lexus together.

Good deal, just bought a winch, new hook, and pull pal. I do have another question, I relize there is no "hand of god" but you can touch the truck to get things out. They way I am thinking of hooking up my winch there would be a switch that toggles between two differnt functions. So when I pull my tow strap would I be able to flip said switch, then upon putting the tow strap bag flip the switch again? I am going to be going between rear stear and winch...

ok, dumb question.

What's the setup if I want to run the 1.9 Adventurist class and the Wraith / 2.2 Class? Is that possible, or I just have to pick one class and run that one?

The Hand of God or HOG, applies to recoveries, ie touching your truck to put it back on its tires when it's upside down, ect. You must use your winch or get assistance from another truck.

You can touch your truck for repairs, hook up tow straps or your winch, and to remove your sand ramps. When you find scale items on the stage your gonna have to strap them to your truck, too.

I hope this helps and we have some G6 vids coming soon that talks about this also.

It sounds like your ready and I'm stoked that you have rear stear!

Yes, that is possible, but run the class that is most important to you first.

The stages have a cut off time, but it's very generous and takes into consideration repairs, and driver pit stops, dual classes. You will be driving, fo sho, will little time to smell the roses, but we have G6'ers that run two classes all the time.

Good Luck and pm sent.

Is there a rule book to go off of win building a truck for a g6 event? stuff like length and width of a truck, etc I'm in the process of gathering parts for a rock racer that uses ifs front and a ax10 axle, custom chassis and a lexan toyota body. It's kinda my take on the KOH rock racers using a ifs front suspension. I was wondering if i added some scale stuff would i be able to compete in the 2.2 class.

Yes, you would be able to and the only rule of thumb on the build is; keep it scale.

There are no build guidelines. The RECON G6 Challenge is a format that encourages and promotes scale r/c through unbridled fun. It is designed to bring new drivers into the hobby/sport and push veterans to new levels. All while providing drivers a new lifestyle; not just a new genre of r/c scale goodness.

A person needing more rules and judging and a time limit have the SORCA style scale comps. I, myself, would rather be driving than standing in a line waiting my turn to drive and then having to drive under the microscope of a timer.

The G6 is a unique scale adventure that is family friendly, has multiple classes to fit most driving styles, drivers can share a truck, and most important...

FINISHING A G6 CHALLENGE, IS LIKE "WINNING" A G6 CHALLENGE.

We have men and women drivers from the ages of 7 to 74! Husbands and wifes, sons and daughters, friends, and even hardcore scalers G6. Once you drive it, you'll get it. It's an addiction.

There are so many varibles that come into play, time bonuse, time penalties, and driver challenges that make this not a race against time, but an adventure in time.

Build your rig, keep it scale, and drive it, because driving is the motivation behind every RECON G6 Challenge.

Have fun and I will see you getting your new rig scaler fix, in the Superlift Southern Showdown G6!

I thought I read somewhere on the superlift Orv park website that the night portion of the G6 challenge was cancelled? Is that true??? And if it is was wondering why and if the prices will change due to cutting out part of the experience?

The night stage has a cut off time. Those drivers not completing the stage within the time limit, can still finish, but will receive a time penalty.

got a question regarding winches.. a guy in our club mounted his 3racing winch up, and he connected the winch controller to a "y" harness, and to his steering servo.. the "y" harness has an on/off switch on it.. when he wants to use the winch he flips the switch and works the winch, then when hes done he flips it back for steering.. he wanted to know, if during the G6 he uses the winch, will that be considered handling his truck and would he be dq'd....basically when he needs the winch he'll have to reach down and flip the on/off switch...he was wondering if that will be ok, or it will be considered a foul and dq him?? thanks for any info !!
