Yes. This is a modified class and that is a great mod.

Thanks for the question, bighoss72 and we will see you in MO.

Do all g6 events involve water that is deep enough to damage un-waterproofed rigs?

no most of the time only half as deep as your tire

Don't Panic, cfc.jason, "keep it scale" is important for clear dirt crossings. If the water gets over your tires, re think your line, Driver.

Dan W, "The Wraith" made a cameo appearance here;

RECON G6 "Tombstones & Cards" at the NARCCA AZ SUMMER SHOOTOUT, PRESCOTT, AZ

Memories. nothing more than MEMORIES.

or did that song go something like this,

"Put another lipo on the fire. Cook me up some bacon and some beans. I will rebuild my G Ride and change the official tires, so I will have more traction and less fires"

I enjoyed my first scale event March 1sr, it was a night run at Newreds RC complex in Ocala Fl. Wow, what a fantastic night. Thanks to the NR's guys.

The next day,@RRW in Belleville Fl. they held another scale event. That was also a blast.

The reason I'm telling you this is because there's some kind bug flying around, and I just wanted to warn you.

I've been BITTEN. I 'll be attending the Jeeptober even in October.
I'm sooooooo stoked.

That's a treacherous bug, too, but I have the cure. Well at least the fix! We will see you getting your scale adventure fix, at the Axial "Coven Quest" RECON G6.

Yes. The Dead Bolt and Ridgecrest are examples of this, but we have had G6'ers convert their comp ax10 chassis to scalers / G Rides.

Are ther any major changes to the rules and regulations from 2013 to this year? I'm curious where they are listed, so I can go over them to make sure I know what to expect. Thanks guys. Can't wait till October.

Nope. The RECON G6 still has only 4 rules,

- No Hand of God
- Drive THRU all trail markers. (progression & reverse around and obstacle is not allowed)
- Driving Challenges that are mandatory, may not be marked with trailmarkers, but still must be driven.
- Have FUN.

Only vehicle specs are wheel size, 1.9 or 2.2. Of course this is AXIALfest, so Axial only, no RC4WD Trail Finders or Losi Crawlers or PTI Goliaths or Kyosho Rock Forces or Tamiya Clod Busters or CC01s or Venom Creepers or....you get the idea. And, yes, before you ask, aftermarket parts are allowed.

I'm planning on running in the 6x6 Expedition Class at Axialfest 2014 and I am trying to plan the rest of my 6x6 build. Is there a thread I can reference for the official rules for this class? I am having trouble finding one...
Thanks!

So I want to get into G6. What motor do most people run for these comps. Right now my scx10 is built on full vanquish axles (not curries) and a built trans, pro4 and runs up to a 4 cell. will the work?

A 35t on 3s makes for a good combo of torque for crawling and wheel speed when it's needed.
