How would a guy go about setting up or arranging a place to host a g6 type event? The places around here that we have found are all state parks or nature preserve or something of the like. I'm worried we may get in trouble some day at one of the nature areas.

Check your local area parks. Some parks have rules, "No RC Cars"! Damn, is there anything I do in life that doesn't have the "NO" sign. No skateboarding. No bicycles. No clothes, No service. Nature areas....hmmmm, not me. We have a realy cool park here, but I stay away. I've been threatened to be fined for picking up trash! Myself or any G6er wasn't qualified to pick up trash. Cool. I will leave all my trash then since I'm not qualified to pick it up! SMH....Give a badge to a fool and all you have is powerful tool. Have Fun!

I noticed in the "must haves" the tow rope is listed, if you have a winch, do you really need a tow rope?

| ![]() definitely a yes. winch out the front , tow strap out the back, and make it accessible ie don't wrap it around the cage. i use my tow strap far more than my winch, uprighting fellow drivers, and hooking up a "freight train" too get multiple drivers through an obstacle in one shot are examples. one thing i hate is when i ask for you to hook on to my truck with your strap or winch and your "scale" hook doesn't go around my honcho cage, sorry i can't help and i drive on. this is a G6, no points for scale here, get a hook that works.

I'm super stoked for this years G6 in Peterborough ON, and building a new truck. The rules on SOCRAWL.com tell me that my tires for the ST class can be a maximum of 4.25". Is that all? It seems very short...

The ST class is for scale daily drivers. They usually run the 1.55 wheels, so the tires are much smaller. I would assume if your tires are over the height requirement, you'd just be limped into the 1.9 class. All in all, the classes are pretty trivial, its not like you are competing for a major prize. Finishing the G6 is Winning the G6, so drive what you want and have fun. That's really what its about.

I'm planning on doing my first G6. I have both 1.9(scx10) & 2.2 (Spawn) rigs. Now the question is what class to run? Is 2.2 more challenging??

2.2 is known as the training wheel class. 1.9 will be more difficult.

My dad is currently building an SCX10 Wrangler and is really wanting to go I will go if he decides to That said, I'm watching the vid on the site and see some deep water and mud pits. I'm sure I'm not the only one with non-H2O proofed electronics Are there alternate lines in those spots, or do we just play God and take the gate/ HoG penalty? In fairness, we will be there for fun, not to win, so points don't matter to us Also, is there still the pontoon river float? Last edited by Armistice; 04-28-2015 at 11:47 PM. |

The general rule for water is scale depth, which roughly translates to axle deep. Drive smartly and there shouldn't be an issue. My daughters done multiple G6es without a waterproof esc and has never has an issue. Not sure if there will be a float your boat section this year. Very little snow, so water level will probably be really low or nonexistent in Rattlesnake Creek. Also, if there is a creek crossing section, ckrc provided a raft and tow last year. There is also an alternative line, but its usually quite a long way around. I wouldn't worry about it. Someone will hook you up if you need to get across. |

I have a couple rigs that will be running 2.2 tires cut-n-shut to 1.9. I seem to remember reading about a time penalty for it but can't find it again. I don't care about time penalties since I will be running Adventurist with the wife and my son, I would just like to make sure we can run these tires and what class it puts us in; 1.9 or 2.2. Mainly I'm wondering for Axialfest but hope to hit another G6 as well. Thanks. |

I was wondering if i could run 2.2 rims with 1.9 tires with out any problems. I dont want to get there and be put into any modified class because my rims are bigger than the scale size that came with the truck. I look at it like instead of running 15x10 rims im now running 20x15s scale ![]() |

- Tires may be 1.55, 1.9, or 2.2, but must be a licensed manufactured tire or knock offs. Tires must resemble the real thing and can only be siped or grooved. No other alterations may be made. But yes,cutNshuts/comp tires are still ran in G6's..with Time Penalties given. Last edited by ROLANDROCKSHOP; 05-01-2015 at 08:30 AM.
