The 2014 schedule has been up for several months, if by "short notice" you mean the intel, I have been held captive for several weeks by the "Greys" on Rigel, one of the brightest stars in Orion's Belt.

None, but you never know what you may encounter. Rest assured, any clear dirt that may be encountered will not be more than tire depth and waterproofing is not mandatory, but highly recommended.

I understand that Intel is witheld. I have been hearing things for months about the event being cancelled because no one knew anything about it. We didn't know where it was or what time it started. When does the night run start??

I have had a profound interest in the Comos since my friends took me to the Chabot Space & Science Center (east of Berkley/Oakland) while on my way to "Taters & Kilts G6" in March.

Since that visit I set Orion Nebula as my wallpaper on my tablet. Here's one picture of Orion Nebula:



A few facts I have found intriguing. One light-second is 7.5 times around the Earth's equator. One light-year is 5.88 trillion miles.

Orion Nebula is 1,344 light-years from Earth. So that's 7,900,703,744,640,000 quadrillion miles. Now, that's a lot of space between Earth and Orion Nebula. Hard to believe we're not alone.

Makes me wonder. How the heck did Parker talk himself out of getting released from his captors?

My interest in space came from taking calculus based physics courses. We studied gravity and optics for a while. I am based in logic and mathematics so it took that class for me to understand how vast and scarce mass is in the universe

I don't know if this is a question or maybe in need of opinion. I have a dingo with brushless 55 turn, I'm using non lipo battery. Should I use this or put the original motor and esc?

Any pointers or advise for a first time g6er.

Brushless 55? Never heard of that. All the 55t I know of are brushed

I would say that you need a motor/esc that is a out the speed of a jog. Any slower and you will be full throttle the whole time. You can use a faster motor, but its not necessary. You are kinda looking for a sweet spot of wheel speed and torque.

Just realized you might mean 5.5 brushless. A 5.5 is a pretty darn fast motor. Probably overkill for a G6.

It a Novak 55 roster crawler. I got it from a hobby shop a couple of years ago maybe 4 or 5. The sales guy told me it was brashless. Maybe he lied to get a sale? I don't know.

Would you advise me to use the 27 turn with the stock esc?

Cuz that was the 55 turn with its esc combo I got.
And also on that rooster esc when I go revers it jitters, I don't now if that can be fixed.

55t with a 7.2v nimh batteries is going to be pretty slow. I'd probably use the 27t. And you should be able to use the Rooster esc with that 27t motor.

The rooster is a brushed only controller. A 55 turn is a brushed motor. It's not crap. Good for going slow and smooth

I know Parker likes to throw G6ers a curve every once in awhile. So with that said, I did some galactic intel. Rigel is not "one of the brightest start in Orion's Belt". Rigel is the brightness star in constellation Orion and the seventh brightest star in the night sky. However, Orions belt consists of meduim bright stars, Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka.

Take a look at the registration site. It appears you can do the night run only if you want to.
