Will be my first time at AxialFest this year. Bought a Wraith Spawn and have done few minor mods that I think will help with me getting the most fun out of this event. I moved batt. forward with CKRC tray, moved electronics to batt. tray, added droop brackets (CKRC) to lower CG and replaced stock servo with Protek 170T. Guess my main question is do I HAVE to waterproof receiver box and servo in order to compete? Or, is it possible to bypass this for now? Don't know really what to expect or what types of conditions one is required to traverse in order to compete? Strictly a beginner here. Thanks guys! Really excited to go!!!!!

You don't need to waterproof. It is highly recommended, but if you drive smartly you will be fine. My daughter went three years with a completely stock Wraith and never had one electrical issue even when running through fairly deep water.

For the record, G6 is generally only axle deep.

Bummer. I had planned to run my SW2ber in that. Oh well, the JK boogies pretty good so it'll still be fun.

It has always been at Cisco Grove. Originally, it was held in June, but this year it was moved to July to accommodate school schedules. It should be July again next year. Turn out this year has already doubled attendance from last year.

Anyone have an example of their boat/watercraft they'd like to share? Trying to come up with ideas but running short on ideas on how to get the motor/prop setup.

Thanks!

July is much better, last year was nice during the day but I almost froze my azz off in tent at night lol. This is the mountains and you should be prepared for all temps and maybe even morning/afternoon rain showers...although the rain is unlikely and not usually more than sprinkles around Cisco Grove in summer.
