Cool re: Redcat Picture Archive - No talking

Well here are a few photos of my sons Redcat RS10 that we moded with this New Bright F-150 Raptor body. We set it up with police lights just for him and gave it that feel of the Law. Yep those are Captain America's shield on the side doors. Plus I had to put a little Spiderman on his tailgate for him. He loves how it turned out. We did give his Redcat a scale look and moved the shocks out to the axles, but overall it was a fun build. We have the whole build on our YouTube channel CodesEmpire too. Fun stuff!

This was from our latest video called RC Police are going to get You.

My son on his birthday after we Skyped with DJMedic. We had a fun rc adventure in the backyard and my son ripped up all the snow. He had fun.

Just showing off our new RCSparks decals we won from Decembers contest.

This was right after we finished up this build.

Thanks so much bro. Yea it still has the stock chassis with an added frame extension on both sides that I cut out of 1/8 inch aluminum flat stock and scured it on both ends to make it tough. That allowed us to move the shocks out so we could give it more of a scale look. In our video on YouTube it shows it really nicely.

Love your losi micro crawler with that same body style. Really cool bro.

I posted here a few months ago. I have updated a few things. New axial beadlocks, RC4WD mudslingers(No foams, 1 hole drilled in wheels), and Proline 1/8 F250 in Tamiya PS-16.

Here is mine finally! I just sat down and figured out how to get pics on here.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

That micro body came from a $12 new bright truck. I guess its been awhile since i have looked in here. That ford looks sick too. The mud slingers are perfect for that! You guys put the truck i just built for my 6 year old daughter to shame. Lol

Just some pics from today

Finally bought a new shell for my Redcat, a Parma '53 Ford truck.

Picture 1: Right out of bag

Picture 2: The intended grill mod (that failed)

Picture 3: The rail

Picture 3: The rush job accidents

Picture 4: The final look, front and rear (w/o black outlining to the seams as I'm still thinking if I should do it)

Just bought my first crawler. It was really hard to decide between the 2 body styles, the shop pulled both out.

Let the modding begin!

Bend those links mount those shocks to the axles.

Funny you should mention that. I finally got some brake line and 8-32 and Jato ends and thought this will bend easy and nope. So I went to HF and got one of those cheap pot metal benders and broke that right away Well not entirely but I chipped the edge of the grooved part and it was leaving nasty marks.

But that was okay because while I was there I picked up a 4 ton bottle jack and on the way home I got some angle iron and when I got home spent the rest of the day building a hydraulic link bender.

Because that's how we do.

Still working out the mandrel and roller shapes but I did end up with pairs of identical links.

So I thought it best to open and clean out the axles and gears since I had been playing in the mud and found that the itsy bitsy 4 9 4 bearing and disintegrated...well the rubber part. Maybe Lithium grease was a bad idea? Maybe they just do that I dunno. RC Newb here.

Looked at Fast Eddy Bearings and I'll be damned if that is the ONE SIZE HE DOESN'T CARRY.

So I decided to hold off on further modding until I get everything back together.

But yes, long story short, I made some links and plan to axle mount the shocks...even if I gotta make a new chassis from scratch to get it right.

Thanks!

Obligatory RS10 Pic

My friend gave me this RS10 he had for my birthday. He put a Hi-Tech servo and alloy horn on it. I got the hard body off a Maxed Out RC toy I picked up at a local thrift store for 7.00. It needs detailing and I have a great project in mind for it. Awesome that the graphics match the ano on the frame and rock rings!
