This idea works pretty good for my bending upper link mount problem.I made a exact copy of the aluminum mount an screwed it into the other side of the gear housing, there is two holes there allready, put a spacer inbetween the links, used a longer bolt with locknut{ Iam using revo ends} no more bending mounts,an still have the same amount of articulation. ![]() |

With that said, you can slide the shock mounts on the lower links closer to the axle, that drops the ride height a little. You can also move the upper part of the shocks around on the chassis to change the ride height some. | |

So, being that I'm still running the stock plastic wheels, after the 540's the hex hubs started slipping in the wheel hexes. When I took my extension hubs off, I decided to try glueing the hex hubs into the wheels. It's just run-of-the-mill super glue. it fills in the extra space and helps dispurse the torque around the entire hex. you don't even need the set screw, because the nut to hold the wheel on will hold the hub onto it's drive pin. So far nothing has made these things slip at all. They are taking a serious beating. Another cheap mod using stock parts. |

For add some weight (83 g / 2.93 oz) on the stock wheels. You can use the JConcepts Tense Wheel Weight Set : ![]() It fits perfectly between the wheel and the beadlock : ![]() I hope this helps |

here is my rear steer lockout.stock rod ends, stock screws, 2 rivets i had laying around(the the head off). slid the rivets in to rod end and tightened the screws down. works perfect, and was done at no cost. and if i wanna use rear steer,it takes about 5 minutes to re convert. ![]() |

also,on my XT's initial crawl,it seemed as if the tires weren't biting enough. it crawled good, but some thing i think it should have been able to do,it couldn't. what i did was cut each small lug off the tire. it made the tire more flexible and more bite areas. i re installed the tires, and what it wouldn't climb before,it could now. this is a free mod and helps pretty good if you don't have the spare cash for tires. ![]() |

I used the washers off my jeep shocks. Fit perfectly, just drilled out the center a little to fit wheel nut on and off. ![]() And painted black as well as bead lock ring. ![]() |
