Default Changing Pinion gear

Well this is probably a crazy question but here goes, I want to change out my rear pinion gear to a 8T, what all is involved ?
I removed the small cover but then I wasn't sure if I need to remove the motor from the other end or remove the complete large plastic cover. I know it's a simple job , I just don't want to remove more than I have to.
Thanks for your help.

1 - buy pinion (assuming you haven't yet)
2 - remove small cover over the pinion
3 - remove screws that attach the motor to the gearbox
4 - remove pinion and install new pinion
5 - reassemble

It's a pretty simple install...hope that helps.

Awesome. The only issue you might run into is not having a hex wrench small enough for the set screw of the stock pinion. Otherwise you shouldn't have any trouble. Good luck.

You could also chase your pets, if you have any. One of my crawling buddies tends to chase his cats with his crawlers at times haha.

Yea I have a Golden Retriever who is usually pretty docile. But as soon as she see's me playing with the cars she's gone. Takes advantage of my back being turned then literally books down the street. So for now she stays in the house when I'm out playing. I wish she wasn't like that but something trigger's her brain and she takes off.
