from my research, the switch is only a 2 way (doesnt center). so you add a kill switch to it, when it has no power going to it it centers, when you need the power hit the switch. no flames, probably flat black/bronze some how. i havent put to much though into it. well, i found out today i wont be layed off. so....i just ordered this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT ----------- also changed my mind on a body. i like the idea of the bug body (easier roll over recovery front/rear and sides), but i dont like the bug. i found these http://rcspecial.com/news/wp-content...arth120309.jpg http://www.apexmodels.com/media/gbu0/prodlg/58465.jpg same car, just new and old Last edited by blindsnyper; 09-17-2010 at 03:36 AM. |

I would imagine that radio is a lot like the normal TQ3, which I have...and it would likely need modifying to run a dig. The rocker switch that's on it is just a 2 position rocker, so the dig won't function properly with it in it's stock form. You'll either have front dig or rear dig, there won't be a way to disable it. Which is why you'll need to install a momentary push button switch or a 3 position toggle. Personally, I think the momentary push button is much simpler...push the button it activates the dig, then the stock rocker can choose front or rear dig, push the button again and it disengages dig. Easy setup. Sorry to hear you're having bad luck with the build...hopefully things will start running smoother for you. |

yeah i will probably put the switch in monday, i already have it. but instead of a momenyary switch (power only if you are holding it down) i got a push button on/off. i went and bought a hitec 645mg servo today and now have it running. i dont know if i want to upgrade with the same size motors or slowly peice together some 540s and metal gears all at once, but i need something. |

i did end up buying that 1:1 for $100, bought a head gasket and a chiltons book, then sold it for $250... 1984 nissan 200sx, was going to but an sbc in it next year if i would have kept it. the only changes with the 10 are 380 banebots i finally put in today. i rolled it about every 45 sec. with the new wheel speed while testing it (i know its still not fast, just faster). and i have some stock aluminium creeper knuckles waiting to go on, but i have stripped the crap out of the set screws and 5 allen wrenches, so....i either have to drill out the set screws and re-drill for new ones on the other side of the hex or get new stubs/hexs/bearings. and im in the process of moving so the 10 is still on pause. |
