steering servo....

So I destroyed the stock servos on my crawler the other day. Ive been looking at replacement ones but got confused, with protectors and digital programing. So since Im on a buget and I use the stock esc and controler, can some one suggest a new steering servo? I look at ZNO-RC but hes sold out of his 34$ one. Thats kinda in my budget. Ive moddified my steering to turn better, grinded the axles like the axial guys do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Geoff L.

hitec hs645mg is good starting point until you can afford better.

RC4WD mayhem servo would be in your budget. That, or the 645mg from hitec...either one would be a good choice.

I have seen a few of these being used locally and seem to be holding up

The rc4wd is a great servo if you are on a budget . Its much better than the 645 imo . I use them on all my rigs except when Im competing . They have been very reliable and way stronger than the stock rs-10 .

We also offer a budget metal gear servo with over 200 in-oz (15kg) of torque for $22. For comparison, the stock RS10 servos are a 6kg servo with plastic gears.

They are analog servo with metal gear and can be find at around 18 USd depending on the shop.

They also are mentioned on this website in the "most popular servo" section:

I should have mines pretty soon...

RC4WD servo was good for $30. Mine broke the face plate after a month but the people at rc4wd hooked me up with a warranty replacement. The gears and electronics were good though.
