Default shocks????

I have a set of shocks I took off my traxxas slash that I thought about using on my rs10 cause they look an feel a lot stonger than the stock redcat shocks. My only problem is the frot shocks are shorter than the rears. Has anyone run them before an will the difference in length be an issue?

It'll react a bit differently...also it will depend a lot on how you mount them. If mounting them to the links like in stock form, it shouldn't be hard to try them out. However, if you mount them to the axles, you'd have to make some chassis extensions or something of the sort to make up for the shock shortness

I was planning on mounting them to the links like the stock ones. I'm gonna give it a shot an see what happens. I can always put the stock ones back on if it doest work out an try different springs in them.

So I tryed to put the traxxas shocks on an couldn't get them to fit good, so I tore apart the stock set of redcat shocks an the traxxas shocks. I put a heavier weight oil in the redcat shocks an removed the bottom shock mount an replaced it with the traxxas one so the bottom piece the springs sit on would fit. Than I put the traxxas springs on an it worked great. Looks better an the suspension isn't as loose now. Now its time to try it out on some rocks.

sweet glad u got it figured out! let us know how she rolls!!I was running the same set up but with my losi strike shocks and they worked alright i just mounted the shocks front down low and the rears up high and it balanced the rig out just perfectly and theres plenty of options when it comes to shock locations.
