Default blinds ebay rs10 build

(remaking an "intro")

i have decidede to make this an ebay build.

so far i have weighted the wheels, cut out the small treads on the tires, lower the body and destroyed the original servos.

i just ordered 2 tower pro mg945 servos. next on the list are a home made aluminum wing eiminator and a bec, any sugggestions for one??? on ebay of course (less than $15).

also can the original lower links be bent???

Unfortunately you're not gonna find a decent BEC on ebay for under $15. The 2 most common ones that people use, and arguably the best, are the castle creations BEC (which is around $20 and you also have to have the castle link cable, which is sold seperately, to program it to the voltage you desire) and the rc4wd turbo BEC, which is around $20 and comes pre-programmed to a good voltage. Personally, I would suggest the rc4wd BEC simply because you don't need an additional cable, but I've never seen one on ebay. Good luck.

Yep, that's the one I was rambling about. I run one on my rig and it does well. I've not seen them on ebay, though...which is what the original poster wanted.

90% of stuff on ebay can be had for the same price or cheaper on ckrc, biggest killer will be the shipping costs buying 1 item at a time on ebay as opposed to 1 or 2 bigger orders from a decent vendor......I've spent hundreds in shipping on ebay

very true but CKRC also rapes you on shipping they start at $15.00 for shipping even if its a small pinion i personally will never buy from them again because of that

today i ordered softer springs, and rod ends.
i also bent the oem lowers, cut off about 3/4" from the oem springs (about 1/2 droop), made a skid plate out of a rockstar cola can and made wing eliminators. now waiting for servos and rod ends to play more.

i would go with the 540 swap. rc4wd.com has some good motors for 9.99 on there and you can drill out your stock pinions to fit the 540 shaft.

If you decide to go with motors with 1/8" shafts ZNO-RC has 8 tooth and 10 tooth pinions already drilled. They also stock the ESC. But to do this you would have to break your "Ebay" rule.

so i figured i would throw some money at my LHS and get a battery, although i did get a battery i will never give them a dime of my money again. they were all douches (yes, it took 3 people to sell me a battery) and i found out that they flat lied to me when i was in last to get a charger (i was told they quit carrieing the prophet plus and replaced it with the onxy whatever, when they were acctually just sold out).

anyways. i got a dtx 7.2v 3600mah stick battery, a major improvment from the original battery.

thinking about locking out the rear and saving the servo for when the front one dies, but i want to get some more practice in before then.

today i locked out the rear, and sheared the pin in the spur gear housing on the rear, so i ordered hardened ones.

with the new esc the rig will run fine for about 5-10 min then it acts like it has a low battery when going forward (reverse is normal), but if i shut it off then turn it back on it goes back to normal. any idea what this could be? i thought maybe the esc was getting hot so i cut a hole in the body above the fan because of how close the bosy is to it. could it be bad motor(s)?

what kind of esc are u running and did u get it wet. what batteries are u running do u run them totally dead. if u have lipo batts that is not good but it is good on the nimh batts.

Lookin good. Did you take the tire foams out? they look super soft in that picture. Which stock servo died first? front or rear?
