Welcome to the addiction Definitely do as much reading and research as you can about the RS10 and crawling in general. There's A LOT of info on this site. Have fun with the RS10 when you get it.

welcome to the club. i would suggest getting a dif battery and charger first. you can work around with the rest of the rig and dial it in somewhat. its a very addicting hobby. which may or may not be a good thing. enjoy

There are plenty of reviews from folks on here about the RS10's. For what they are, I recommend them. They're an inexpensive rig aimed at beginners and people new to the hobby. However, don't get one if you expect it to outperform the nicer crawlers like xr10's, bullies, bergs, etc...

www.cheapbatterypacks.com if you want a nice battery. Plenty of other places to order them too. One thing I do recommend is to get a new charger also. When I first got my RS10, I picked up a 3300mah battery and on the stock charger I got maybe 15 mins of run time. On a new charger that same battery got me around an hour of run time. Stock charger kinda sucks, takes forever to charge, and has no indicator to let you know that the pack is fully charged.

5000 mah is fine, mah is gonna represent how much of a charge the battery can hold. As for chargers there are millions lol my advice would be to go ahead and grab a "All in one" charger, meaning it will charge every battery you can use inc *Angels singing* LiPo's

That depends on the battery and if you use a nice charger or not. Theoretically you should be able to get a couple of hours out of it...or at least close to that. There are factors that come into play that can effect run time though, such as running the rig wide open constantly.

my stock charger didn't even lasted a minute, didnt notice input volt was only 120V :( so i accidentally fried it. after 2 days of crawling around almost everything i can hear some strange sounds comin from the front servo :( still got no regrets buying it.
