Well, I'm assuming one of the big reasons is that it would give someone with rear steer an advantage since they would have the different steering modes to position their rigs on/off/around obstacles than someone without rear steer would. It also seems to make things easier since not everyone likes or can afford a rear steering setup on some rigs so it makes everyone equal.

but dig is legal and from what i have seen its probably better than rear steer. well maybe not better but dig has its advantages.

I like my rear steer because of the way I can position my truck on obstacles. I have yet to see a dig do a crabwalk across anything. I suggest if you don't plan to comp it leave the rear steer on and play with it to see if YOU like it, if you don't, lock it out. Don't just jump on the bandwagon because everyone here thinks digs are the only and best solution. I love my rear steer, I don't comp so there is no reason for me to lock it out, If I don't want to use it I don't have to.
