| homade crawler finaly done!!!!
hi i dont know if i post a the right place ...i dont see anyplace whit homemade rock crawler ....anyway !!! i finish my homemade crawler today ....i used radio shack axel ...whit an old losi transmision (a 3 gears system like an axial one )..axial drvie shaft ...traxxas revo link ...the frame is 2 motor support from a hpi savage ...the motor is a novak terra claw 55 turn whit 12 t pignion ..lots of tork !!!!speed control is an old tamiya dont remember the model no !!!i used a integy 5 amp bec and a jr z590m metal gear (the speed control bec can t handle this servo).... i resolve the tire problem from the radio shack axel ....is a smal hex and i cant put other tire then radio shack ....i screw a bolt in the hex of the axel and the bolt are the size for the hex of savage tire ... Uploaded with ImageShack.us see the bolt is tight screw there and i put some epoxy ..just to make sure is not moving !!! Uploaded with ImageShack.us transmision and motor !!! Looks good, but with all that work you should treat yourself to some real crawler tires and wheels. I can't imagine those tires will grip much of anything.

Looks sweet but I agree that some quality crawler tires and foams will finish the deal. |

yes for sure ....i got the savage tire in front and crapy radio shack in back .....im whaiting for 2 other savage tire ....i remove the foam inside and cut in star shape....the tire is verry soft but i know is not a crawler tire ..loll ...i do some test first ...if the truck run good i put some money on it ....but the first test inside and in the snow was verry good ...but whit the radio shack in back a can make some good test (verry bad tire )but for now is better this one than nothing but for all crapy parts i have in my stock ...this thing look not bad at all and the performance is better than i imagine !!! |
