Default help....stock tires cut foams or no foams?

i just got my rs10 xt yesterday and i have a long list of mods im going to do but until i get servos and motors i want to run stock tires so there is less of a chance of breaking stuff. i noticed some of you cut the stock foams and some run no foams what seems to work the best. thank you

i pulled the foams and even scroced the tires along the side walls, a notch at even side lug. Grips nice, but as far as breaking things, i think the stock motors stale before you will ever break anything.

Thanks its great to have so many people that know about these rigs. i did my first mods last night. i removed the foams and skid plate i also moved the on off switch and lowered and trimed the body. i ran it for the first time at a place with big rocks and it did pretty well. after about 30 min my front servo broke so i locked it out with some tape and used the rear steer until my rear end kept locking up. when i got home i put my new servo on and took the rear end apart. a screw came out of one of the gears and it was floating arround in the gears. i was able to just put it back and it didnt seem to do any damage

i wonder about the consistency of the parts used in these, some guys have issue out of the box and other like me run for a long time before a failure

I took my foams completely out.

I broke my front servo on the first day.
Ive had my rs10 for about 2 weeks now.
I went with ZNO's metal gear servo and it works great.
It will actualy push the vehicle side to side if the tires are in a tight spot.

I can tell the rear servo wont last much longer.
It doesnt turn the wheels until the vehicle starts moving.

yeah my servo broke cause i slammed it into a rock and the shaft broke off, but the screw that came out of the gear had nothing to do with my driving maybe it just never got tightened at the factory? Who knows im just glad i didnt keep running it that way and ruin my gears
