Default Flysky gt3b with stock ESC

I was wondering if the flysky gt3b will work the stock ESC on the rockslide RS10xt out of the box? or will I have to change the esc out with another one?

Thanks

What ESC you have doesn't determine what radio you can use. Technically, you could use just about any radio out there with the stock ESC. So in short, yes...it will work. I ran that exact setup before I got a new ESC.

nope, at least not straight out of the box, the third channel switch is not a three position switch but there is some info on here on how to "hack it" and make it a 6 channel remote and then well, u know it does anything u need it to then

If you're not up for modding one of the radios yourself, losikid here on the forum will hack one for you. Then you can use rear steering with it.

I've got this same setup on my Redcat. I use the 3rd chan. for the rear steer. It only locks it down in one direction, but you can adapt to it pretty quick.

i assume u have it centered in one position and then it only turns either left or right whichever way u have it set?

Then whats really the point of having a 3rd channel? The whole newbee reason i bought the rx is to use the dual steer.

By getting the 3 position adapter, would that fix the issue. Or do you still have to have the firmware update

The point of having a 3rd channel is to run additional servos and accessories...such as rear steer and dig. Without the 3rd channel, it's not possible.

What he said. Besides, for what you spend for the GT3B you can't complain about anything it does.

I under stand that the 3rd channel is needed to run rear steer but with out the 3 position switch how is possible to use the 3rd channel as the rear steer?

If you invest in a hacked gt3b or hack it yourself, if I'm not mistaken the 3rd channel button can be set up as a 3 position. So you just press the button to cycle through the positions. Losikid would be the best person to ask that since he developed the hack kit. I don't know that rear steer is possible on the stock gt3b 3rd channel button.

Ya I started reading the novel of 40 sheets for losikid hacked gt3b. I'll have to get a kit with the next paycheck and cross my fingers and see if I'm a decent soldier.

thanks
