| Rs10 F250 Scale Build
My rs10 started out as a comp crawler until I met LVSC (Las Vegas Scale Crawlers) which is a group of great guys with scalers. Took my comp rs10 out with them on a few outings and it felt a little unfair to be the only one with a comp crawler making lines that most scalers can't make so I decided to go scale myself. Instead of buying one why not make one?! Also got inspired by Hoosierdaday's Rubicon Scale build. I like my comp crawler, so I tried to make it interchangeable between comp and scale. I can change it in 20 mins between comp and scale. So check it out, let me know what you think! Comp Crawler Scale Crawler Started with a frame to mount the shocks more vertical. Then shock mounts on the axle. Using aluminum angle iron. Using spacers to clear the axle. Then I had to widen the body mounts for the new F250 body Then drilled a few more body mount options to lower or to raise the body without drilling new holes in the body itself. Larger holes to lighten it up a bit. I got a small clip of the scaler. And yeah those tires are stretched!! This is my version of a scaler. Its my first video so don't hate Redcat Rs10 F250 Scaler - YouTube |

Really digging the rig man. I was out to get that same body for mine at the local Hobby Hut, but my little cousin was going to trash his new bright so I took up that one instead.. I'm kind of going for something like that but my own homemade chassis. .. Great job!!!! |

That looks bas_ss dude!! I saw that video of you and the scale guys, I couldn't figure out where I saw that bug before. I got a kick out of the video, most of them struggled and you walk through some cool lines.

Those aluminum angle shock mounts on the axle are VERY nice. Did you use short sections of aluminum tube between the underside of the mount and the connection at the axle? What lenght/size screws did you use?Great work.

| Re: Rs10 F250 Scale Build Yes I did its 3/16 aluminum tube by 1/4 inch lenghts. Fits right in there and used M3 x 15mm screws. You have to drill out the holes for the M3 screws. I used a 7/64 drill bit.

The F250 body is from Proline and its made for the T-Maxx 3.3. Frame rails are homemade from 1'' x 1/8'' aluminum.

You probably could make some money making those things. Also how does your truck hang with axial ones? i am thinking about taking mine down to the hobby store and getting in the rookie comp.
