I redid mine on an axial frame and was running Ripsaws...now I have changed the body again and added yokohoma's for more of a street look then before.

Yesterday i painted my new bright body and let it sit over night and today it was still tacky.
and awhile back i heard of a way to fix the dreaded tacky paint job so i stuck my body in the oven and i spaced and forgot about it 20 minutes passed and this is what i ended up with

BUT HAY AT LEAST ITS NOT TACKY

What size scale wise is that body? I've been looking at a Parma 1/10 '95 dodge ram xcab body. Size is about right, but I'm not sure if the wheel base will match up right.

why didn't you guys buy/ build a scaler instead of throwing a pick up body on it an calling it one. trying to make one out of something its clearly not just makes it look rediculous

I guess because they want to retain some of the better capabilities and articulation of a MOA rig, instead of trying to duplicate in small scale a vehicle with 80's-90's frame technology and small 1.9 tires that gets easily stuck.

have you ever driven a well built scaler? I drive my 1.9 scaler on our clubs sportsman comp lines and rarely get stuck. I am a big fan of to each their own but what you said is wrong.

I had a redcat about four yrs ago. Tried a truck body on it and I just couldn't live with it. Ended up getting an scx10, throwing 2.2's on it, then 1.9's, then 1.5's and never looked back. I just liked the scale realism of what they are designed to imitate. I would never put a redcat body on an scx10 cuz it doesn't make sense...to me anyways. But hey, a couple in here look cool actually to bash around with.

Well then, all the videos I've seen of 1.9s getting stuck, high centered or having trouble and then a 2.2 comes right after and climbs over with no issues must be wrong or edited... or you are one hell of a driver with an ultra low cg on your rig. On the trails and rock sizes we have here in AZ (I even have to dismount my mountain bike sometimes on those trails), I would not go 1.9, unless it's a groomed "scaler" course; but as you said, to each his own; I like natural trails, not artificial courses.
