Default Sgt. Slaughter's RS10 scale jeep

Heres my RS10 with a jeep wrangler body. It started as a radio shack rc that I had bought for my son years ago. It sat for a long time until I got my RS10 and started fiddling with it. some of the upgrades are proline hammers with soft foams, 5.5 oz in front wheels and 2.0 oz in rear, locked out rear steering, Hot racing shocks, frame modified, made the lower links, jr 650 steering servo(whicch is not the best but, better then stock) sr300 reciever, body mounts, proline rear bumper, front honcho bumper, scale accessories, front and rear leds, mounted battery to bottom of body, and painted body. I know its not true scale and wheel base is a little longer for the body let me know what you think. Sgt Slaughter action figure was bought and I think he fits great in his jeep! I got tons of info on here to help me along the way!

WOW!!! Now that has got to be the most I've ever seen the stock chassis chopped! Wicked profile. And wicked detail on all the scale goodies

Thanks, I know I wanted to remove the lower part of the chassis and mount the battery above the chassis. I tested it first just in case it was to top heavy, with the body being a lot heavier then a lexan it actually did good for what I wanted to do with it.

That's an awsome scaler. I started to go that route then turned mine into a comp crawler.

Thanks for all the compliments, its good to know that mine belongs here with all the other redcats! The only gear change I made was from a 10t pinion to a 8t, I'll go with all metal gears when something breaks.

I think the metal gears are overkill if you keep the stock motors. I havent broken anything but the pins in mine

Yea I wont replace anything til it breaks, I am going to go and install some ban bot 395s. Hopefully everthing works fine the guy in the other thread is having some problems. I know there is a thread I had seen were someone installed them and had no issues. I'm not really after speed, just more torque!

Heres a few pics from after install of the banebot 395s had to move the upper shocks out 3mm for more clearence. They are so much better then the stock 380s i was using.
