Parts are coming together...395 banebots, Savox SC 0251mg, waterproof project box for electronics, driver (check out that stick shift arm and steering wheel hand!), BRXL, RC4WD Dig II, and a Turnigy receiver switch (for head/tail lights).

If you're wondering, William Dafoe.

Updated chassis 80%. Still cutting material, but real close. Starting to look like a hybrid MOA scaler chassis. Opened up the original MOA sides to reduce weight and took .25" off the overall chassis height. Also added bent lower links and the axle shock mounts to the drawing.

The shock mount positions now into the wheel wells lowering the overall stance. Attempting to maintain the MOA motor clearances and good articulation. The original Jeep chassis had almost too much flex at times, and was too top heavy as well. The new second level chassis pieces are 12" long and 1.5" tall overall (.5" at the thinnest part). They arc up and into the wheel wells of the Jeep nicely.

Using all .25" dia black derlin rod for spacers at this point.

Here's a 3D image of the new design.

Ordered a few sets of internal springs for the shocks - might need them. Also waiting on the Flat Irons, 3racing winch, Yeah light kit, and 25T RC servo horn.

Once the weather clears, need to shoot paint and assemble. Chassis to Jeep body photos next up.

Thanks for reading. Any comments appreciated.
