How in the world did you manage to break the axle housing?!?! You will need to buy a new one. It needs to be strong so I wouldnt bother trying to fix it. I think you can order directly from the redcat website. You can also try asking around. Maybe someone has one they can send to you. Good luck!

A beef tube could be made, but because of the dogbone cup inside the housing, the tube would need to fill in the taper inside the housing, as well as having reliefs for the screw bosses protruding inside the tapered section to work properly. It won't be easy, but it could be done.

After seeing the pics in post #11, I don't think a beef tube will help, your going to need a complete bottom half of that axle housing in aluminium.

This is a isolated event, you know how many times I have dropped mine of a cliff or rolled it down a hill? neither do I, but it numbers in the several range. so i am saying beef tubes are not needed. something was wrong with eh tube from the start or we are not getting the whole story. the rig does not weight enough to do that damage from any height of a drop, excess force was required to break that housing.
