Default Brushless outrunners?

Hey guys, I have a fairly stock RS10 that I'm starting to modify. I have just got a hack kit for my GT3C Tx. I am going to go to dual esc now that I have the mixing function on my Tx.
Seeing as I will need to buy at least 1 more esc anyway, I was thinking of getting 2 cheap Hobbyking outrunners in the 2830 size around 1000kv and 2 of the Hobbyking 30A brushless esc.
Anyone run a setup like this or similar. I will be able to get 2 esc's and motors delivered to Australia for $80 or so.

I was thinking something like this
Turnigy 2830 Brushless Motor 1000kv
or this
Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 2830-1020kv Brushless Outrunner Motor
and this for and esc
HobbyKing Brushless Car ESC 30A w/ Reverse

those motors are made for flight systems, fast turning, low torque. not saying they won't work but you might not get a lot of grunt out of them. you could always gear down and power up (smaller pinion and more volts) to get the motor working in the top end all the time, like running a spoon motor in a 1:1 (don't laugh i have seen it done in a old Nissan crawler, most annoying damn thing on the trail).

Waiting for a lipo cut off then I'm gonna run 2s to give it a bit more kick

How's the stock esc holding up with the Traxxas 18t motors?
