Pictures of the Everest 10 with aftermarket frames/chassis.

Interested in a Everest 10
I was interested in seeing pictures of the Everest 10 with aftermarket frames/chassis.
Currently, I have a RS10 and was looking for something that wasn’t a MOA.
Like me know the Pro’s and Con’s of the Everest 10.

Hoping to see some cool ideas. I am going to get one myself soon here and have been brainstorming bodies to try on the truck

Re: Pictures of the Everest 10 with aftermarket frames/chassis.

well heres mine almost complete with an scx10 chassis. im going with a proline cherokee body and 1.55 wheels and tires for a scale look. but if i were to keep it as an everest 10 i would def need to get some new tires, also dont forget the axial hd locker mod, the stock axle lockers are very weak and strip immedietly and its best to upgrade to the metal axial units.

@XJrob. Do you have a build thread on your Toyota truck?

Re: Pictures of the Everest 10 with aftermarket frames/chassis.

I sure don't man but it's coming along niceley. I wanted to start a build thread but i haven't had a lot of time to work on it so when I get a chance there's no time for pictures.

As of right now it has the tcs Xtrail frame, Everest 10 axles (all extra plastic post shaved), both axles have axial hd lockers, rear has axial shafts and lock outs, scx10 trans, tranny skid made by member on here, axial wb drive shafts (I was missing a Everest drive shaft) and my battery plate will also be used for electronics and cms.

The only thing Everest 10 now is the axles, could have used the tranny but wanted a direct bolt on instead of having to waller out holes for the Everest tranny to fit and I wanted my lower links to run on the inside instead of out like a lot did in the past with the Xtrail chassis and custom length links

I'm waiting on my servo before on mock up my electronics plate but when I finish it I will post picture

First pic is of my yota and my sons mostly stock Everest (minus 1.9's and bronco body)

On the E10, Need new tires, axial lockers, and a lower CG.
HB rovers, 95mm shocks
http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/...psoemcnnkv.jpg
the steering sucks so I added 4ws
http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/...psr5qwaz4c.jpg
I climbed great but I was starting to like the scale thing and got a SCX10 chassis, bumpers, and Deadbolt body and 1.9 tires
http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/...psoi1gdm5f.jpg
To date all that is left of the E10 are the rear links, axle housings and ring and pinion gears. I could have made the e10 trans work but I picked up a used scx10 trans and slipper. My E10 shafts worked but didnt tighten up on the trans good(no flat spot for the set screw)
Proline Scaler shocks....60/40 droop.........."thumbsup"

With a little trim and mod to the front bumper
This is turning into a very good rig
http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/...psou1oszwd.jpg

I pieced together an SCX10 for around $200(not counting Proline shocks). Plus the cost of the E10 $140. You could pick up a scx kit and a nice Holmes hobby power system for $350 or so.

But I did enjoy the build and the mods to get it all to work good"thumbsup"

Re: Pictures of the Everest 10 with aftermarket frames/chassis.

I started with the HSP Pangolin (same as E10 basically) and converted to scx10 for very cheap. Bought a complete chasis with shock hoops and trans mount etc for AUD $40 then bought shocks, sliders, electronics box, battery tray etc. Spent a total of about $100. Plus the cost of the HSP crawler ($180). I later bought a used honcho body ($50) and some mounted ripsaws I swapped for an old 4S battery I had no use for. Could have bought a deadbolt for that but I did it over a period of months. Spread out the cost. Plus used the hsp in stock form for about 18 months first.

You'll need to convert to a c channel style chassis like the scx10 if you want to use that body effectively. There are a bunch of threads on here about converting an redcat everest10/hsp pangolin to an scx10.

I had a similar problem when I put AR60 axles on my Maveric Scout.. just on the other side of the driveshaft:roll:! So I used an scx10 driveshaft I had laying around which fits great the stock one. I put half of it upfront and half of it (reversed the male/female of course) on the back. I know and plan to buy an upgraded gearbox is better but so are dirt cheap mods...

Re: Pictures of the Everest 10 with aftermarket frames/chassis.

I drilled out my brand new all aluminum scx 10 aftermarket transmission stubs so I could put nuts and bolts right through the whole deal
