Everest 10 steering Bec?

Just ordered a 30kg steering servo. It might sound like overkill, but I don't want to be buying a new one every week, or wanting for more later if the set-up changes. A friend suggested I'll need a Bec for it now. As a newb, I don't really understand the lectrical side yet, so.... what kind of Bec do I need? Where do I chop in? Tia.

Is the new servo a high voltage servo?

It get the full potential out of your new servo and take some stress off of your esc. Yes a bec should be installed.

Here is a link to a plug and play set up. Only thing is might have to change battery ends on battery and esc to dean's plug (another good idea anyways) to get it to work.

At that torque output it is likely a high voltage servo. You could also use a small 2S lipo to power the servo instead of a BEC, if that's the case.

Yes, it is a "hi voltage" unit. The lipo upgrade will have to wait a few months sadly. Deans plugs hopefully installed tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

Re: Everest 10 steering Bec?

Although, after adding deans plugs yesterday, I think I may have inadvertently swapped polarity on my wall charger, the Oem one. I think the neg cable usually has the writing on it, but I have put it on pos. another job. On a plus note, I just noticed a dhl card in my mail box, servo is here already. [emoji1305]mint. The daughter is going to be stoked. On a side note, am thinking of limiting straps for those days when you want to keep 5hit to scale, or have a body that would otherwise rub on the tyres, owing to ridiculous axle articulation. Anyone else tried similar, or just bitten the bullet, gone back to ladder frame etc?

I don't think the amount of articulation the E10 has when stock is necessary or all that beneficial for crawling. I don't use limiting straps, but I did add some nylon spacers under the shock body to limit travel.

Okay, thanks. I got fuel ho's and nylon tubing here somewhere. The current position of the body looks more like the mud bogger type thing. I 'd rather something like the 'lux in the pic. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a40796ce7b.jpg
