redcat everest 2 speed??

Has anyone put a 2 speed tranny in the Everest? I am picking mine up tomorrow and am wanting to plan my upgrades.

It possible after swapping to a scale style chassis, but really no need for a 2sp in a crawler chassis.

For a crawler a brushless will get you speed and crawling capabilities. 2spd trans is more of a scale thing. To do things like hill climbs or running down a boring section of trail.

What u could do and what I am going to do is get a WLToys model#10428 2 speed trans. This is a chinese rock racer. Its alot cheaper and is an exact clone as the twin hammers vaterra. Half the cost though. Made in the same factory. Vaterra wont admit that. Also remember. The scx10 and redcat share the exact same tranny housing and gears. Except the outdrives which can be adapted. Soooo. That means you can use the rc4wd 2 speed made for the scx10. So u have options.
