I liked to start by thanking nobody79 for having a great honcho conversion on the gen7. I will post daily updates on the conversion. Stay tuned.

Got some things done
Some update pics. Cut front a rear bumper. Will be adding the endos on the rear.
Also started on my cage I am undecided if to run a spare or not. Any input would be much appreciated.
Cage coming along. DIY bender.

That looks real nice. What did you fab that cage out of? I don’t have a creative bone in my body so I appreciate your creation.

That looks great. Did you use the aluminum brazing rods from harbor freight? I made a roll bar with two down bars from aluminum rod. It lasted 1 day, 1 good tumble and it bent all to crap. Plus with the hinged cab it made it really hard to get the battery in and out so I scrapped it. If I had added few more braces then it probably would have been stronger.

We turned my sons gen7 body into an ext cab pickup. I didnt feel like building him a rear cage. LoL

Not harbor freight but ACE. Was the aluminum rod hollow or solid? I am going to have mine welder hoping that it will work fine.i am using 3m Velcro both in the cab and hood, seems to hold really good.

Somewhat of a custom grill, hell of a lot better then just decals.
Styrene, water caps, hose gaskets and some inner liner from a jacket for the mesh.

Cleaning the rear truck conversion for a cleaner look. Still needs some sanding and edge stripping for a cleaner look.

Could not stop until they were done. I have to them a couple of days so that my epoxy can fully set.
