Yep, I watched it...looks very well designed...I haven't seen one at my LHS yet, I was told it my be late January before they get them in...Also LHS said there is not much aftermarket for Redcat products...This could be a game changer for Redcat...We'll see...

I noticed that most of their aftermarket parts are made by redcat themselves as in metal parts. Their also usually affordable parts wise.

| Re: Gen 8 review It's too early for aftermarket companies to start offering parts. If the truck sells well, and if there's a demand for 3rd party parts, then the aftermarket will respond.

If Redcat does a builder's kit with a clear body, good metal trans gears, and perhaps a smattering of more durable parts in crucial locatiions, it will be my next truck. Probably still will, but I would prefer a kit of some sort.

Recently read that axials ceo/cofounder jumped ship for Redcat. With the gen8 being their first 100% in house design, and major staffing moves I'm optimistic for their future and the Scout... Will be buying that body soon as I can. |

My LHS got a couple of the G8’s in today, they were on boxing one when I arrived. It looks like a solid rig out of the box. I was impressed with the metal servo horn, metal diff covers, and the metal rig plastic beadlock wheels. I’m not in the market since I just got the Bronco, but the G8 looks like a solid rig.

I picked a blue Gen 8 up at my LHS today. I'm very impressed so far. At first look, the build quality seems great. The plastics are definitely higher quality than I've ever seen from Redcat. They seem on par with Vaterra or Traxxas. The steering angle is fantastic. Redcat claims 47° & I think they may be right. The frame rails are stout on this thing too! Fit & finish is excellent. I'll take it for a spin tomorrow. First impression is that you get a lot of truck for $300. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk |

I agree I picked one up the other day and have never owned a RedCat product, mostly bought if for the body but it does look to be a decent rig and for $300 it was worth it.

I'll be getting mine tomorrow. I've owned a few redcats in the past.
