Went out for a drive to try out the new setup and of course I forget my phone. It was a great time. I want to get some brass portal cover. I might have to grab a HR set for now since it's the only one currently. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

Did a little driving and some side to side comparison with my trx4. Was a good time. Tried a little rock bouncing. https://youtu.be/FfoqJlOHTvE Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

I changed up the stickers. The black just wasn't doing it for me. I think I like this better besides now I need a set of white spokes. I changed the front bumper but it hangs out a little more than I would like. I think I am going to just make a bumper. I have been paying close attention to what on this gen8 makes it more stable than my trx4 defender. I noticed the portal are shorter. You still have the gear reduction and a little more height over straight axles but it sits around 3/8" lower than the TRX which helps with the stability. I believe the lower link mount has a benefit as well. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk Last edited by mgputer; 05-16-2019 at 10:03 AM. |

Did a little more work. Put mirrors on, a couple accessories and a spare tire. I changed how the bomber Cage mounts. Managed to drop it another 1/4". I also put the steel gears in. It's quiet now. Well, for a portal gear rig. Took it out for a test run. Works great. This thing really impresses me sometimes. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

I took outside for a little spin around the rock pile for an hour. I put a 27t 550 Holmes Hobbies in and it's great how much control you have with this. I spent the hour crawling over stuff as slow as I could. Fun times. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

I changed the wheels to white spokes. They look pretty good but man what a bear to get my cut stock tires on the wheel. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

I got the 3DP ones from club 5 and did not like them. I ordered these from Amazon.... much better. Used a screw and nut to fasten. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |
