Default Everest 10 Wheel Axle question (Redcat part 18012)

Howdy!

I upgraded the wheels for my son's E10 a while ago, and the wheel axles aren't quite long enough for the nut to seat in the wheel properly (see pic). I had to put the nut on backwards to make it fit (there is a recess in the center of the wheel).

Does anyone know if there is a compatible wheel axle (or 3rd party option) that is a little longer?

Axial shafts are longer but that also opens up a few more things to change besides axles shafts.

You can use the axial dog bone cups from ether a scx10 or the ar60 front axels there hard to find but there cheap and you wouldent have to change anything else or just change to axial parts the iron cross locker fits inside the redcat diff housing with minor work making axial shafts drop in i have the same wheels to but in natural finnish i havent ran them yet but im gona real soon

Ok maybe not hard to find lol

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/222383825947

I have all the parts to do it i was looking at it the other day ill give it a try and make sure it works in a few days

Thanks for the good tips. I tried drilling out one of the wheels to make a larger diameter hole to fit a washer - I don't have any good pics, but this wasn't a great fix.

I ended up ordering some smaller "height" nuts with a built in flange. These seemed to do the trick.
