That’s cute junior. I guess haters gonna hate. Hell I’ve broken parts on every crawler I’ve ever owned be it Tamiya, Axial, Losi, Kyosho, etc... Out of the box, the Gen 8 seems to be a much better crawler than most of the competition. Only the Sport version of the TRX4 seems to be as capable out of the box.

Back on the topic, only complaints I heard from the g8 was the skid hump and the bump steer issue.

If you guys thought people came here to be called names and run down you're fooling yourselves. Bye bye. Talking smack about some toy truck is fine but when you attach that to people you lose.

I dont understand why it got this way.. Anytime I venture outside of my normal interests on here, I see whining and just shit in the wrong. Im just sorta glad we dont see FB quality builds on here. That shit can stay on FB. Anyways, what issues have you found with the gen8 besides the body mounting and bumpsteer? Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk |

You started talking shit to Browneye after he put down the Gen 8 and his gripe about the axles was a legitimate one. You got butthurt over him talking about a rig and responded by name calling. So who's the real snowflake?

The Tumor as I call it, isn’t really an issue unless you’re a serious comp crawler, the bump steer isn’t noticeable on the trail, but it is easily correctable. The Velcro body mounts work well if the body mounted fenders were installed correctly from the factory. None of them are deal breakers and all can easily be addressed by Red Cat and corrected with running production changes and a little more production oversight. As it is, Out of the box it’s a damn fine crawler. Great licensed scale body, good licensed tires, portal axles, really good shocks, decent RTR electronics, etc... RedCat just needs to fine tune the production. Last edited by dezfan; 04-17-2019 at 08:54 AM.

| Re: What's with all the gen 8 hate? Kinda... If this isn't good enough for you I can squeeze some strawberries into the original flavor. I think the Gen8 is a huge step up for Redcat. It's not perfect and they aren't top tier yet. I have high hopes for the Gen9 where they can improve their materials and iron out the issues. |

I don't think anyone actually hates the gen 8. I think most detractors are annoyed by the people that jumped on them and declared them to be the best rig EVAR! 3 minutes after they were released. They put copied trx4 axles poorly and tossed them under an scx chassis with a tractor body and they're the second coming of cthulhu? Cool Me personally I still see redcat as the toy grade shit they've always been so I won't be buying one any decade soon but I don't buy rtr or kits anyway so they aren't marketed to me. |
