Default My gen8

Having a lot of fun with this thing! I went with the gen8 because it was cheap but it actually performs very well.

Your G8 looks great, who makes that body?

Looks like it was made for the G8.

If you are talking about the truck, I believe that is the new Pro-line Metric body...

Added a RC4WD mini Warn winch/controller and a Tekin ROC412 3100kv. Motor is awesome, very smooth and lots of power on 3s.

Trying a 12t right now and the low end seems good. I have 9-17 so I need to do more testing.

I ordered a 9t and a 13t specifically for this truck, just wondering if I end up going with the roc412 which I'll prefer.

Did some playing around and I think I like it best with a 10t pinion.

Had a wobbly lower link/panhard bar mount. The Exocaged RC (YouTube) homemade brace works like a charm! Hole measurements were on the money prior to making the jog bend.

Haven’t even had my G8 on the rocks yet and I’m fabbing up an Exo-Brace for mine.

I’m trying to get ahead of any possible issues before they occurs.

the problem with exocages brace design is it takes the stress off the bracket but transfers the load to a tiny screw in the diff cover i bet that screw only holds maybe 2lbs of force if that i see that screw ether striping or taking out the axle housing itself if the truck takes a big tumble i braced mine off to the upper link mount i did move the track bar to the front side of the bracket then i just used a longer screw from the upper link and ran the extra in to a rod end then bolted the rod end to the lower panhard bar mount way more solid and it wont ruin the axle from a hard fall

and that bracket is so ugly it ruins the look of the axle the rod end blends right in with everything else under there
