Gen 7 Pro portal upgrade or buy Gen 8?

Looking to get some better performance from my Gen 7 Pro and was considering getting the portal axle upgrade that is $100. For those who have done it, was it worth the money or if you were to do it again would you just get a Gen 8 truck for $300?

In my experience, being a Gen 7 beta tester for the portals, get the Gen 8.
It was designed very well, and is a much better rig if you want portals.

If your willing to spend the 100 for the portals check out Ebay for the gen 8 roller... it's a complete chassis.. its priced at like 169.00, you would be getting alot extra for the 69 bucks...

I thought about getting the Gen 8 PACK as well. Then I'd need a body for sure which adds another $40-50 or so. Now I'm getting closer to the cost of just buying the Gen 8 outright and having a whole different crawler to choose from. I've found a place that I can get the Gen 8 with a 5200mah lipo for $285 shipped. I'd say the body, electronics, and others odds/ends is well worth the additional $100 over the PACK setup.

I'm close to pulling the trigger on the Gen 8.
