Ludicrous proposition - Everest Gen7 body on a Gen8?

Yes, I know it'll probably be viewed as dumb, but has anyone bothered putting an Everest Gen7 body on a Gen8 chassis?

Last year I bought a green Gen7 body, because I really like the body, but didn't need a platform that mimicked an old SCX10. I haven't mounted it on anything yet, and was planning on building up a slightly modified SCX10, using TSS-SCXHR V3 frame rails(which I've had for several years). However, I've been wondering if the BPC Gen7 chassis is better than what I would have with the SCXHR build, because, if I bought a Gen7 chassis(approx $70 ebay deal), I would then have that cool mounting system, and it does look better, overall, compared to the SCXHR.

As my thoughts progressed, I figured I wouldn't want to go backwards and use bulky SCX10 axles, and would end up spending $100 on the portal upgrade kit. This would total $170, leaving out the fact that I had to provide my own AX10 transmission. Therefore, I started looking at the Gen8 Pack(assembled, with full drivetrain & portals, for $170), wondering if my green Everest Gen7 body could be mounted on that. Of course, I would still be left without the OEM Gen7 mounting system, which shouldn't be viewed as a big deal, but I'm weird, and get hung up on little things like that.

I've even thought about buying an RTR Gen7 Pro(now, at the lowered price of $250) and selling off all the drivetrain and electronics, and having a spare body and wheels as a bonus, but then I'd have to be diligent and actually sell stuff, which I don't have a lot of time & energy for, currently.

Just to add: This guy (Kootenay RC) has really inspired me with his Gen7 videos. https://youtu.be/OM3e0Wy2d_M

the pack should come with body posts you can use the magnetic body mounts from there if you dont want to see the body pins or just rig something up its not hard

With the adjustable wheelbase, and included body posts, it should be cake to get it to fit. Pick up a PACK and you are ready to go.

I think the Gen7 body would look great on the Gen8.

It’s a good looking body, you already have it, and you would be upgrading the performance with the new GEN8 P.A.C.K.

Gen 7 and gen 8 have different body mount spacing.

Yeah, it would probably take some work getting the mounting sorted out, but probably would look good once done. I recently bought the UMG10 from RPP, but thought about returning it for store credit to get the Gen8. I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to building a full kit, not until my youngest is over that fussy toddler stage, at least.
