Wow that is the coolest looking Redcat anything that I have ever seen. This is the first one that actually has me thinking about getting one. Can't believe I said that I might look at getting one. Did you make your own fender flares that you have on your truck? They really add to the overall look.

I like the redcat Gen8. It's actually as durable as any other brand besides Traxxas perhaps which are tough. Even though I like the scout body the rear just hangs out to far and hangs up on everything. My ideal rig would be a half breed of the Ascender and the redcat. Not sure if anyone elses Gen 8 does this but mine has a gangster lean to the rear left. It does it really bad under throttle. I checked for binding and everything was fine. I didn't notice it on the other Gen 8. Then I tightened up the shock springs and it went away. It was a little stiff for my liking so I outboard the rear bottom shock mounts and softened the springs back up. Took a test run and it's very stable now with smooth articulation. Almost forgot I had to trim the wheel wells about 1/4 where the shock goes through or the shock would rub. I think the issue was the right rear shock was rubbing on the fender screw. It didn't feel like it was binding but it polished up the screw. Either way the stability improvement is fantastic. Hey, do you have a link or a search phrase on Thingverse for those fender flares? I looked but couldn't find them. | |

Added some brass inner portal from Treal. Everything fit and works great. Since I had it apart I changed the tie rod ends and got rid of the adjustment. All it does is bend or break. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |
