Default Gen 7 question.

I did a search. Couldn't find what I was looking for so I apologize if I missed it and this has been asked before.

I have a Gen 7 and it squats on the left front corner. I've checked everything. Shocks, suspension mounting points, ect. I can't figure out why it's doing this. Did anyone else have this problem and, if so, how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the shocks? Could be low on oil vs the others.

I assume it only does it under power. If so, it sounds like torque twist. Best mod to help correct this is a skid that triangulates the lower links.

I haven't checked the oil in the shock. It seems like it's working like the rest. I'll check it though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Interesting. Do you know if someone makes one or is this something I'll have to fab?

Thanks!

Vader products makes one, though I've seen some people complain about the fitment on a Gen 7 (do a search here). You can also modify the stock one to achieve this. Here is a link to a thread about my modifications to my Everest 10 skid (gen 7 skid is the same) to triangulate the links: My E10 skid plate mods

Note you will have to change your link lengths if you want to keep the exact same wheelbase.

Road Dog RC on facespace makes a well thought out skid, triangulates the links, has holes for Axial and Redcat transmissions, and has just a few mm's of drop so that more link positions should be useable (as compared to a completely flat skid) and the motor/trans shouldn't hit the electronics bridge (also, as was the case with my brand V flat skid.) I just received one today (bought it for a friend) he even printed it in blue to match my friend's paint scheme.

I haven't seen one mounted, but this one looks nice too if you're going to stick with a Redcat transmission: https://store.rcaddict.us/products/r...9649be77&_ss=r
