Default Redcat FJ40 Project

Loved the Redcat Chassis overall - an amazing and capable 12.8" wheelbase truck that puts a real fight against the TRX. IF turning was better it would be the best.

Saw FJ40 Body from Proline, so I decided to drop it on the Redcat & it was a perfect fit. Paint job is poor but this is my beeter shell - working on a final one. Overall happy with the way it handles and climbs

Under the hood
*Tekin T45 HD Brushed Motor
*Tekin BXR ESC
*Reef RC Triple5 Servo
*Castle 2.0 BEC @7.4v
*EcoPower WP120 Servo
*Amazon/Inojen 100mm Shocks with 20wt all around

Added some SSD Weights, she was already a heavy tank but we are right at 9# with body and battery now

SSD Aluminum Portal Knuckles
SSD Brass Portal Cover <- So heavy I love it
Aluminum C Hub

I also shaved the front diff as my steering link was somehow rubbing on it at full crank. This actually added the missing range I felt I had in the steering

Overall much more balanced now and still feels like a cheater rig in terms of handling and ability to climb/descend. Still not my choice for an agile accurate line crawler but if this was 1:1 i would be taking this out always lol

That body looks pretty good on there! Looks like it's performing pretty well too!

Does anyone have experience running the Redcat @ 12.2" per the adjustments? The 12.8 wheelbase is truly an unstoppable beast on alot of terrain, but for technical stuff she falls behind due to wheelbase. Thinking about running a Kit with shorter wheelbase to test it out.
