| Kincer's Gen 8
So it's been a crazy year for me, bought this early in the year and never had the time to tinker with it, Dad had a heart attack in March and a couple of weeks later he passed away, then I had so much to do with the estate. Needless to say I was busy. I've been messing with it the last two days, got to put some time into some simple mods. Installed the Club5 Racing servo relocation mount and changed up my steering links, very happy with it and it works way better than the stock setup. I moved the rear links back to the furthest hole and I think the rear wheel is more centered in the wheel well now. Finally for now I trimmed the front flares to what I think they should've looked like in the first place, much better in my opinion. This truck begs for big 1.9 tires, I'm out of the loop on tires now so what would be a good big 1.9 that works? Anyway here's a couple pics. |

I ran the 4.75 MTRs, RB XLs, and TSL XLs on mine at different stages and loved them all. I think for our north east type driving, the TSLs are hard to beat across the board honestly.

I am running predator compound. Must get ci foams for them as they are super sticky but still wear pretty good. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

Sorry for your loss Kincer. Good to know you have this hobby to put your mind to rest. I like the little mods you have done to your Gen8, trimming the wheel flares and moving the rear link kinda centered everything in the right place. Looks good Man. I talked my buddy into getting in the sport and he bought a blue Gen8, he loves it. Beats the crap out of it though. I keep telling him it's for crawling, go slow, drive with finesse. We took the foams out of the tires and drove it like that for a while, it actually worked really well. I bought him some dual stage soft compound foams but when we put them in the tires they packed in so tight it made the tire even stiffer than the stock foams, so for now we put the stock foams back in. Till he really understands what he can do to modify and make his Gen8 perform better I told him not spend any money on it until it breaks then we will upgrade to better parts then. Anyway, thanks for sharing your rig with us, now go and have fun! |

I think the Gen8's body is the best looking RTR body out there... hands down! Great looking truck in any color. Agree on the TSL's, they just seem to hook up everywhere. |

| Re: Kincer's Gen 8 Yeah TSL's it is, gotta pick out some wheels too, I think some black beadlocks would look killer on this with silver hardware.

Here's the manual, which specifically states that it auto-detects 3S: | |

| Re: Kincer's Gen 8 I've never even read the manual lol, I just noticed the tag on the ESC yesterday that said 7.4 volt 2s max. I figured it was wrong because I knew this was a rebranded 1040. |

They're not all that different from the stock TSL Swampers
