There was a picture of it a while ago on the Facebook group. Technically the same thing but topless from what we have heard so far.

I just took my Gen8 out this weekend. That mythical skid bump issue actually was an issue for me out at CDM. Other than that, it performed pretty well given the huge body. I'd be interested in some updates for the truck though.

I see they also released new stronger Axles, Axle housing, and gears. New redcat Gen8 will be equipped with them.

I like caged SUV style rigs (Deadbolt, 2012 Jeep Unlimited, Defender, etc.) so it will appeal to me, especially if it looks as good or better than the cartoon representation.

The stock ESC is hobbywing. It's a dual motor moa ESC with only one set of wires soldered on.

Re: new redcat?

The new GEN8 will include all of the updated parts, flat skid, updated axle housings, axles, gears, body, interior, cage, AND the Hobbywing Axe system.

Price should be around $499.00ish.

500 is to much in my opinion maybe 400 but even at that price there competing with th3 big name brands i if nothing else theres more parts out there for the gen8 and more scout bodys to chose from

I agree. They need a new body and the upgrades. I think if they lower the price to be comparable with Traxxas rig's and it would be pretty sweet.

HobbyWing needs to step far, far away from Redcat and Reefs.

I meant HobbyWing is too good to be associated with Redcat and Reefs.

Well that's fine, but HobbyWing is a world-class company whereas Redcat is second class.
