Default Holmes Hobbies 27T or 45T?

I am going to upgrade the stock motor on my gen8. I'm indecisive between a Holmes Hobbies 27T 550 motor or a 45T 550 motor. I prefer slow control crawls over trailing at high speeds. I'm leaning towards the 27T which is equivalent of a 35T 540.

Thoughts?

I am guessing you are talking about the Trailmaster Sport motors so my choice would be the 21T 550 and dropping a couple teeth on the pinion. You would get the same wheelspeed as the 27T motor with the added torque, better low speed control, cooler running temps that gearing down provides.

For even better low speed control, consider the 12T Crawlmaster Sport 550.
